ANCES is the promoting organization for the granting of the EIBT mark (Innovative Technology-Based Company), recognized by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism. From 2004 to mid-2023, ANCES had awarded this certification to some 600 business projects.
Companies that are recognized with the EIBT seal thus gain a valuable tool to demonstrate their potential as a first level innovative project to different investors, grant granting institutions or potential partners .
The value of ANCES recognizing a company in this way is also materialized in the integration of the project and its promoters in a group with preferential access to support and accompaniment programs: training days, seminars, workshops and training courses. networking between EIBT companies and large companies, participation in open innovation forums, search for and access to groups of investors, specialized training and access to the innovative public procurement market.
A JURY OF EXPERT EVALUATORS
ANCES and its network of associated centers (34 CEEIs located in all autonomous communities) promote the participation of candidacies that are evaluated by a jury made up of top-level professionals.
The expert evaluators belong to different public institutions or private entities at the national level, which include among their objectives the promotion of business innovation. They would be the Board of Directors of ANCES, the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism (through the Subdirectorate General for SME Support), CDTI (Center for Industrial Technological Development), EOI (School of Industrial Organization), OEPM (Spanish Patent and Trademark Office), Keiretsu Forum, ESADE, ENISA, APTE (Association of Science and Technology Parks of Spain) and IESE.
ANCES also involves professionals from other institutions depending on the number or specialty required in the applications. The methodology followed by the jury is always rigorous, and is perfected and adapted to the new realities that shape the business sector and the concept of innovation.
Applicants for this EIBT mark must meet the following requirements at the time of filing.
- Be legally constituted.
- Have a tax domicile in Spain.
- Developing a knowledge-based activity
Companies that have been denied the mark in previous editions or those that have obtained it in previous editions after more than 5 years and wish to revalidate it may also submit their applications.
The process of presentation and evaluation of applications is carried out through evaluation rounds that take place once every four months and that are carried out once the different CEEIs have been called to promote the opening of the process in their respective territories.
Applications must be submitted to the CEEI that corresponds to the place where the company carries out its main activity. Only if there is no CEEI in the corresponding region, it may be submitted to ANCES.
